Today is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has experienced the loss of a pregnancy or infant. No one can understand that loss unless they have been there. It is also National Blog Action Day. Combining those two events I would like to share something with you:
One of my favorite websites is hosting a challenge today. They have a goal to save 1,000 lives in 24 hours. For $10 you can donate one malaria net to a village in Uganda.

Each net will probably save more than one life. For more information you can visit the post on the Stuff Christians Like website. Below the post about the challenge there is a post detailing information about the organization providing the nets, and how the nets save lives. 100% of the $10 goes toward the net costs, nothing spent on administration, etc. Sounds like a great thing to do on a Friday, right?
They will probably hit their goal soon, as it went up $1,000 toward the goal just while I was putting in my own contribution. It makes my heart glad to see such response toward a practical way reaching out to others and single handedly saving the life of another human being on this planet!

The donation process took me about 1 minute. Super easy.
Minimal Effort + 3 Starbucks coffees = 1 person in this world being protected from malaria.
