Food!

Most of the food pictures were taken with our phones. :) This is when we were searching for Lou Malnati's and finally discovered that they weren't open for lunch. ha ha. We decided to get milkshakes to hold us over till we found lunch.

Portillo's! Mmmmm! I also had the Italian Beef like we showed that Corey had.

It has a cool atmosphere.

The other meal I have pictures of is the lunch at the American Girl Cafe with Katie. Here we are waiting to be seated. Katie bought herself a Perry the Platypus stuffed animal from the Disney Store. It got a lot of compliments.

Since Katie didn't have her doll (Kit) with her, she borrowed Elizabeth to be her dining companion. That little box in the middle had questions to ask/answer during lunch. Like, if you had a store, what would you sell? Katie said, "tea and salad."

She chose hot peppermint tea for her beverage.

Katie and Elizabeth with their hot tea.
I didn't get a picture, but we got two hot cinnamon rolls as soon as we sat down. Then, an appetizer of cheese pretzel balls, fruit and cheese kabobs, and veggies with dip.

Katie chose the American Girl picnic lunch. A mini hamburger and hotdog, macaroni and cheese, and a fruit kabob.

Katie making her cartoon "yummy" face.

Dessert was "Molly's mousse" in a flower pot with a flower we could keep, a flower shaped iced cake, and a butterfly sugar cookie.

Katie with Elizabeth. It was sooooo much fun! I had a vegetarian strudel over saffron rice which was VERY good! We were full, so I think it is very worth the price because the experience is something she will never ever forget! Me either! (It was $21 each).

Thank you for the post about your lunch at AG. I love the dessert platter, especially the potted mousse. I've been wondering how much it would cost to take my girls there. $21 isn't too bad (in the AG realm of things).

I am going to have to tell my Mom to check out this post. She is going to want to know that this exists, just so she can start planning to take future granddaughters - someday. I am afraid that my boys are never going to be interested!
