Yum-O Granola!

Warning: This recipe is completely and totally and utterly ADDICTIVE!!!!
Why?
Because it is SOOO yummy, super quick, and not that bad for you.
My friend, Christi, (who should totally blog because it would be AWESOME) gave me this recipe recently. We've made it three times and I am thinking it might be time again.
It's a homemade granola bar.

Melt 3/4 c peanut butter and 2/3 cup honey in the microwave or on the stovetop.
Mix in 4 cups of old fashioned oats and press into a pan. It doesn't matter what size pan, it will just affect how thin or thick they are. I use an 8x8. You can also add other stir-ins like chopped almonds, or chocolate chips..really anything you have around and want to throw in.
Let them set for a bit before cutting.

I put mine in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes to speed the process a little, ha.
This can be as healthy as the ingredients you purchase to make them...use healthy peanut butter (or soy butter, or other kind), local honey, and natural oats, and you've got a great, no preservative, non-cancer causing quicky granola bar for quick snacks.
I will say...they are SWEEEEET. So, it's definitely not a low sugar treat... but when you're talking granola bar, you're not really talking sugar free in any capacity anyway.

Don't try these unless you really want to eat them...often.
I actually just texted my husband to pick up a bag of chocolate chips so I can make some tonight, true story!

I have a friend who makes both granola bars and cereal bars (like a nutra grain bar) all the time. I keep meaning to get the recipe from her. Those look like they would be delicious, but really bad for me. Maybe I could make them for my kids...
Yummo!
